Two gatherings, a week apart. An East Texas camp meeting, then a Sabbath program in Michigan with Grace Ministries. Around eighty gathered in Texas, seven baptized, and two anointed for healing.

Michigan brought its own gift: brethren not seen in years, and the kind of fellowship that only comes from a shared history in the faith.

We asked those who attended to share their experiences in their own words:

On finally finding fellowship after years of feeling alone:

"I felt like I was the only one here... I didn't know other believers in Texas of the one true God and His Son Jesus Christ, so I felt alone here. I prayed and ask God to bless me to be rebaptize... The LORD answered my prayer."

On the emotional weight of years of questions being answered face to face:

"It was when Nader spoke on Sabbath about the Father and His son and what they did for us that I realized how grateful I was... All I could do is cry and cry and cry some more."

On the fellowship itself:

"Fellowship and worship was lovely. The baptisms are always my favorite... Looking forward to next year already."

On the many small moments that made up the weekend:

"I don't have 'one' favorite moment at the camp meeting but many moments. The time of corporate prayer among the congregation was special... And my private meeting... telling him my testimony when everyone had gone home was very special to me."

On the answer to a three-year prayer:

"East Texas camp was an answer to a prayer for me. Every thing I needed and desired, our heavenly Father Jehovah, through his Son Jesus Christ, provided for me more than I could imagine. I thank the Lord that I was baptized at camp."

On meeting the teacher known only from a screen:

"I would go to YouTube and study with Bro. Nader, never thinking I would ever meet him... I had a wonderful time at East Texas Camp Meeting. Every desired my heart had, the Lord answered."

On what the weekend revealed about the wider body of believers:

"It was encouraging and uplifting to hear the experiences of others and recognize how God is working in many places, even though it sometimes seems we are isolated and few in number."
